Korean national football team is at serious risk. The team was defeated in the critical match held in June 13, 2017 against Qatar, 2-3. As a result of the match, KFA, Korea Football Association, decided to sack Uli Stielike who has been a national team coach for three years, and appointed Shin Tae-yong as the new head coach in the beginning of this month.

Some people disappointed at the team's performances have said that Korean national team is not eligible for the upcoming World Cup, so failing to participate in the global event would be the positive impact to the team. The thing is that Song Heung-min and Ki Sung-yong got injuries, so it's not sure that they will be able to play in the games. I hope that they join the team soon after full recovery, and the national team can make it to Russia.
