About 17/18 Champions League Group E,F,G,H

I'd like to pick up two teams for the next round of 16 in group E to H. You can also check out my choices in group A to D in the previous posting. All choices are based thoughts of mine for fun.

Group E

1st: Liverpool

2nd: Sevilla

Liverpool's back to Champions League. The manager, Jurgen Klopp, has successfully led this club step by step in PL league, and wants to show how competitive Liverpool is in Champions League. Everything is going well; it overwhelmingly defeated Arsenal 4-0 as well as Chamberlain has become a member of Liverpool. In addition, there are no big clubs of port 1 and 2 in this group E. As a result, Liverpool will advance to the round of 16 in conjunction with Sevilla. Spartak Moskva is also able to make chances to enter the next round.

Group F

1st: Napoli

2nd: Manchester City

The reason I put Napoli in 1st rank is I was quite impressed by this Italian club's performances, especially the matches against Real Madrid in 16/17. Their play styles such as rapid counter attack and one touch passes are so compelling. Manchester City has brought skillful players to have a well-organized squad. It's sure that many fans of Manchester City have longed for higher rank than last season as this club has spent huge money during this transfer market. It doesn't seem that Feyenoord and Shakhtar Donetsk could surpass Napoli and Manchester City.

Group G

1st: Leipzig

2nd: Besiktas

Group G is the most difficult group to choose 1st and 2nd. There is nothing too strong or too weak. If AS Monaco still had Mbape, Mendy, or Lemar, I'd pick it up as the top of the group. However, it looks like that Mbape is going to join PSG according to news. Lemar could be a member of Liverpool. Mendy already left for Manchester City. So, I decided to put Leipzig in 1st in this group, depending on my intuition and assigned Besiktas that brought Pepe, Negredo, and Medel for 2nd. Nevertheless, anything you could imagine can happen.

Group H

1st: Real Madrid

2nd: Dortmund

Real Madrid is undoubtedly going to take 1st rank. The defending champion is still super strong. I'm so wondering if this club could make it, 3 consecutive champion of Champions League. The thing is Dortmund and Tottenham. Tottenham has failed to advance to round of 16 for 15/16 and 16/17. To top it off, this club doesn't play in White hart lane anymore; home of it is Wembely stadium larger than White hart lane. There is doubt that Tottenham would defeat Dortmund without the previous home stadium that brought victories to the club. Even though Ousmane Dembele left for Barcelona, Dortmund is ready to start 'heavy metal style' again. Compared to 16/17 Bundesliga, Gegenpressing and counter attach have been enhanced a lot under the new manager. Therefore, Dortmund will take the second seat.

In short, 17/18 Champions League is gonna be awesome as always.
